Peppi's Wish Cactus
The community is invited to help TMC Hospice patients and family members by participating in Peppi’s Wish Cactus program. This is TMC Hospice's version of a Holiday Wish Tree, but year-round. We hope you will consider helping these families. See below for answers to frequently asked questions.
Support families during the holidays and all year long
You can bring comfort to local hospice patients and their families through our Peppi's Wish Cactus program, which allows community members to provide meaningful gifts or essential items to families facing challenging times.
Gift cards, clothing and more help patients and families
We welcome donations of essential items that support our patients and families throughout the year. These gifts provide practical support and show families they are not alone during difficult moments.
Gift card donations
Gift card donations can provide critical relief to hospice families. By helping cover essential expenses such as groceries and fuel, you can help lighten the emotional and financial burden of caring for a loved one during a difficult journey. We gratefully accept gift cards from: Walmart, Target, Fry's, Amazon & gas stations
Fill our Care Closet (all items must be new, not used):
- Hospital bed sheets: Twin extra long sheets for patients receiving home care
- Cozy pajamas; soft T-shirts, pants and robes; sizes small, medium, large and extra large
- Coloring books for adults and children
- Colored pencils and markers
- Simple board and card games
- Word search and crossword puzzle books
Fulfill specific requests from patients and families:
- Visit Peppi's House to choose a wish tag
- Purchase a new, unwrapped gift or item matching the tag
- Return the gift to Peppi's House by date shown on tag
During the winter holidays: Depending on the needs of our families, holiday tags may be added to Peppi’s Wish Cactus with specific gift requests for our patients and families. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page or this website during the winter holiday seson for more information.
